Traffic Accident Kills Seven in Southern Ethiopia

ADDIS ABABA – Seven people including two policemen have been killed in a traffic accident in southern region of Ethiopia,  a state tv reported.

The deadly accident occurred on Monday morning in Wera District of Halaba Zone os SNNP regional state.



A minibus, commonly known as Dolphin, was heading to Halaba Qolito while a public bus travelling from Dorame to Shashemene.

The two cars collided hrad-on arround gedeba, according to the report.

Seven people died immediately, police said, adding that their preliminary report shows that speeding was the reason for the accident.
