Ministry Collects over 212 Billion Birr Revenue

ADDIS ABABA – Authorities said on Tuesday they’ve collected over 212 billion Birr revenue during the last nine months of the current 2020/21 fiscal year.

The figure shows 15.95 percent increase when compared to the same period in the previous year, according to Ministry of Revenue’s performance Report.

The report also indicates 128.2 billion Birr of the collected money was generated from domestic tax.

The remaining over 84.1 billion Birr and 166 million Birr were collected fom export tax and lottery sell, respectively.

Considering the challenges that the country is in, the performance can be described as good, the Ministry said.
