ADDIS ABABA – Prime Minister of Ethiopia Abiy Ahmed and his high-level delegations have begun his two-day official visit to Eritrea on Thursday afternoon.
“Prime Minister, Dr. Abiy Ahmed, arrived in Asmara in midafternoon hours today for a two-day working visit to the country,” said Yemane Geberemskel, Eritrea’s minister of Information.
President Isaias Afwerki accorded Prime Minister Abiy and his delegation a warm welcome upon their arrival at Asmara International Airport.
“The two leaders will discuss bilateral matters as well as regional developments,” the minister added.
The Prime Minister’s delegation consists of Defense Minister, Dr. Kenea Yadeta, and, Minister of Innovation and Technology, Dr. Abraham Belay.
