PM lays foundation stone for Field hospital in Southern Ethiopia

ADDIS ABABA – Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has laid a foundation stone for construction of Koysha Field Hospital in southern Ethiopia.

The Prime minister was joined by members of his cabinet and SNNP region officials during the launch the hospital’s construction in Zone on Sunday.

The Konta Field Hospital would be an integral part of the nation’s development project, he told the gathering in Konta district, as his office finishes up preparations to build one of the three projects of “Dine for Ethiopia” initiative in the region.

The facility will avail an increasing access to health services to residents of Konta Special Woreda, according to authorities.

It will also give service to visitors coming to the area, which possesses many attributes that have not been utilized for the development of the area and for its people, they added. The construction of the field hospital – which will equipped with modern medical equipment – is scheduled to be completed in two-month time.
