Ethiopia Reports 473 More Coronavirus Cases, 3 Deaths

ADDIS ABEBA – Ethiopia has recorded 473 more Coronavirus cases on Monday, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 117, 000.

In its daily covid report, Ministry of Health said nearly 5, 000 people have been tested for the virus to identify the new positive cases.

The report reveals the death of 3 people due to COVID, pushing the death toll to 1, 809.

There are now 20, 206 confirmed active cases in the country. Of these, 297 patients are in hospitals after falling severely ill, the daily Covid-19 report indicated.

On the day, the ministry said 1, 335 patients have recuperated, bringing the number recoveries to 95, 225.

The East African nation has so far conducted more than 1.7mln tests and confirmed over 117, 242 infections. Health officials the first coronavirus case in Ethiopia on March 13, 2020.
