Ethiopia Records 533 More Covid-19 Cases, 13 Deaths

ADDIS ABEBA – Ethiopia has recorded 533 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, bringing the national tally to nearly 104, 000.

The country tested close to 5000 individuals over the past twenty-four hours to identify the new positive cases, according to the ministry’s daily Covid-19 report.

Additional 13 people have also passed away on the day, taking the death toll in Ethiopia to 1, 601, health officials said.

The country currently has 37, 732 active case. At least 305 of these patients are hospitalized after falling critically ill due to the respiratory disease caused by coronavirus.

On the same day, the ministry also said 300 people have regained their health, taking the total number of recoveries to 64, 593.

To date, the East African country has conducted more than 1.57 million laboratory tests, and confirmed 103, 928 cases.
