Ethiopia Records 773 New COVID-19 Infections, 13 Deaths

ADDIS ABABA – Ethiopia on Monday reported 773 new cases of COVID-19, taking the tally to over 23, 590.

At least 11,039 individuals have been tested for COVID-19, a respiratory illness caused by coronavirus, in the past twenty-four hours.

The Ministry of Health reported the death of some 13 patients due to coronavirus. To date, 420 people have lost their lives due to the noble virus.

During the same period, 205 patients have recovered from the disease, bringing the number of recoveries to 10,411.

There are now 12, 758 active cases of COVID-19. Some 164 patients are in severe condition, according to health officials.

The East African country has tested over half a million individuals for the virus since the first case registered in mid-March and confirmed 23, 591 cases.
