Ethiopia Records 760 More Coronavirus Cases, 3 Deaths
ADDIS ABABA – Ethiopia has reported 760 more coronavirus infections on Friday, taking the tally of confirmed cases to 12, 693.
The ministry of health identified the new patients after conducting 7264 tests over the past twenty-four hours.
The latest figure is the highest single-day increase in COVID-19 cases in the East African nation, according to health officials.
The ministry also reported the death of three Ethiopians during the period, bringing the total number of deaths to 200.
Currently, there are 6706 active cases in the countr. Of these, 68 patients are in severe conditions, according to the health officials.
More recoveries
Health officials also reported the recovery of 140 patients of COVID-19. To date, 5785 patients have recovered from the deadly disease in Ethiopia.
The East African nation tested a total of 364, 322 individuals and has, so far, confirmed more than 12, 500 cases.
