Ethiopia Records 145 More Coronavirus Cases, 327 Recoverie
ADDIS ABEBA – Ethiopia on Saturday reported 145 additional coronavirus, bringing the tally to 5570.
Among the confirmed cases, 86 of them are male and 59 are female and their age ranges from 2 months to 90 years old, said the Ministry that conducted 5,552 tests over the past 24 hours.
All of the confirmed cases are Ethiopians.
Among the newly identified cases, 94 of them are identified from Addis Ababa city administration, 22 are from Oromia, 10 from Amhara, 10 from Somali, and 3 from Benshangul Gumuz Regions and the remaining 6 from Dire Dawa City Administration.
Among 8 post mortem laboratory tested conducted in 24 hours, two deceased have been confirmed positive for coronavirus. Two individuals who were receiving treatment have died from the virus.
A total of 5 people have died from COVID 19 in twenty-four hours, bringing the tally of coronavirus related deaths t0 94.
Moreover, the ministry also reported 327 individuals have recovered from the disease taking the number of recoveries in the nation to 2015.
The majority of the patients that recovered from the deadly diseases are from Addis Ababa (317). Amhara (8), Oromia (1) and Tigray (1) regional states reported the rest of the recoveries.
Ethiopia has now a total of 3,459 active cases, with 34 of them in a severe condition. The total number of tests conducted so far stands at 223, 016.
