Ethiopia’s COVID-19 Cases Rise To 140
ADDIS ABABA – Ethiopia has reported five more cases of COVID-19, bringing the total confirmed cases in the country to 140.
Ministry of Health’s daily report today says the country has conducted 1, 758 laboratory tests within the past 24 hours and five of them confirmed positive for the virus.
Of the new five cases, four are Ethiopians and the remaining one is a Swedish national.
Four of them were in a mandatory quarantine upon returning from Puntland and Sweden. The remaining one case and resident of Bahir Dar contacted the virus from a previously confirmed case.
Ethiopia reported its first case in mid-March and has so far three deaths while 75 patients recover from the virus.
