Eka Kotebe General Hospital in Addis Ababa Inaugurated

ADDIS ABEBA – Deputy Prime Minister of Ethiopia, Demeke Mekonne, has inaugurated the Eka Kotebe General Hospital in the capital today.

The five-floor building that provides services of mental health with 150 beds and general medical services with 200 beds has been built with a total cost of 160 million Birr.

Senior government officials, including minister of health Dr. Amir Ahmed, also attended the inaugural ceremony the hospital built by the Ministry of Health.

A nine-floor building for administrative work and Mental Health Institute has also been inaugurated on the same day.

“We are working to make functional this year,” said Dr. Amir. Eka Kotebe General Hospital is under the auspices of the St Amanuel Mental Specialized Hospital.
