Infinix Mobile Signs Selam Tesfaye as Brand Ambassador

ADDIS ABABA – Infinix Mobile announced that it signed artist Selam Tesfaye as the brand’s official image Ambassador in Ethiopia.

the company says Selam, who is among the talented artists in the Ethiopian entertainment industry, will now represent the Infinix Mobile brand in various promotional activities in the country.

“I am proud to be associated with a brand like Infinix Mobile Ethiopia,” she said. “Together, we will work towards promoting the brand’s mission of providing cutting-edge mobile technology to the people of Ethiopia, while creating positive social impact.”

Launched in 2013, Infinix Mobility has released phone models under brand names such as Infinix Hot, Infinix Note, Infinix Zero, and Infinix Smart.

Infinix Mobile Ethiopia expects Selam’s partnership to contribute to the brand’s growth in the East African nation.

Infinix Brand is owned by China-based Transsion Holdings Co Ltd which also manufactures Tecno and itel smartphones.

In 2022, its brands — Tecno, Infinix, and itel — had market shares of 14%, 10%, and 8% in Africa, respectively, landing them in the second, fourth, and fifth spots, according to a Counterpoint Research.
