Ethiopia Grants Postgraduate Scholarships for South Sudanese Students

ADDIS ABABA – The government of Ethiopia has granted postgraduate scholarships to fifteen South Sudanese students.

The Ethiopian Embassy in Juba bids farewell to the postgraduate students joining Ethiopian Universities on Friday.

The scholarship grant is in line with Ethiopia’s commitment to strengthening the human resource development and capacity of South Sudan, the embassy says.

At the farewell program, Ambassador Nebil Mahdi congratulated the students and told them that they were traveling to their second home.

The incoming students will take the number of South Sudanese joining Ethiopian universities through the same scholarship this month to nearly 45.

Twenty-nine South Sudanese medical doctors have recently traveled to Ethiopia to pursue different medical specialization fields.
