EEU: Electric Power Restored to Lalibela Town

ADDIS ABABA – Electric power has been restored to residents of Lalibela town and its surroundings, the state-owned Utility firm discloses today.

The town joins a string of towns including Alamata, Korum, Waja, Timuga and Kobo where power was restored in recent days.

On Wednesday, Ethiopian Electric Utility (EEU) says its crews resumed power to Lalibela after a restoration work on the 66KV Alamata-Lalibela power line.

The outages was caused by damages on the electric infrastructures during the reble group TPLF’s invasion, according to the Utility firm.

They have continued their work in restoring power to Sekota and other nearby towns, Shimelis added.
