ENDF Hold Joint Consultations with S.Sudanese People’s Defense Forces

ADDIS ABABA – A delegation of the Ethiopian National Defense Forces (ENDF) held a joint consultation with South Sudanese People’s Defense Forces in Juba, said the Ministry of Foreign affairs today.

The delegation, led by Head of Training ENDF Lt. Gen. Yimer Mekonnen, paid a visit to South Sudan.

During the visit, Lt. Gen. Yimer and his delegation met with Lt. Gen. James Koang, Assistant Chief of Defense Forces for Training and Research of South Sudanese People’s Defense Forces (SSPDF), together with his team.

The representatives and experts from the two sides held joint consultations focusing on mutual security undertakings over the adjoining areas of both countries, said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Other bilateral issues of common concerns were also discussed during the meeting, the Ministry said without driving into the specifics.
