Grammy-winning Morgan Heritage set to perform in Addis

ADDIS ABABA – Multiple Grammy Award-winning Reggae group, Morgan Heritage, are to perform in Addis Ababa as part of their first full African tour, beginning in October.

The tour titled the “Island Vibes Africa Tour” kicks off on October 2 in Johannesburg and will take the acclaimed performers to several nations across West, Central, East, and Southern Africa.

The band has partnered with entertainment Mavericks, RAVE, who have been the mastermind behind the uber-successful AfroNation Ghana, among others.

In a statement, the tour spokesperson Derrick Owusu said the band will perform in Addis Ababa on October 28 as part of its 8-week-long Island Vibes Africa Tour.

The group would collaborate with some of the Continent’s most talented musicians to perform their smash hits and new songs.

“This tour will be historical, as, for the first time in years, the artists will not solely play one date across the African continent, but many, showcasing the relevance of Africa as the new, booming, buoyant, and profitable market in the music and live events industry,” he added.
