Ethiopia Logs 24 New Covid Cases, Zero Deaths

ADDIS ABABA – Ethiopia has recorded 24 fresh cases of COVID-19 but zero death from the virus on Wednesday.

According to a Ministry of Health report, the latest positive cases, identified from 4,381 people tested in the last twenty-four hours, take the nation’s confirmed total to 470, 492.



The nation’s recovery count has also reached 455, 159 after at least 120 patients recuperated from the disease in the reported period.

No one has died due to Covid-19 in the same period, extending the number of days with no confirmed fatality to for a week

The Covid death toll currently stands at 7,510, according to the health officials report.

The conditions of 15 severely sick patients have not changed in the past twenty-four hours and are still in the ICU.

They are among the 7, 821 confirmed active cases of Covid-19 in the nation, according to the ministry’s report.

It also shows the national vaccine drive is still at a standstill with the ministry offering no doses of Covid-19 vaccine to the public today.



Over 29.41 doses of the vaccine have been administered since the nation started giving the vaccine in March, 2021.

About 24.5 million Ethiopians are also fully vaccinated against the Coronavirus.
