AAU, Industrial Parks Corp Agree to Collaborate in Knowledge Transfer
ADDIS ABABA – Industrial Parks Development Corporation has inked a pact with Addis Ababa University (AAU) to work together in areas of skill, knowledge and technology transfer.
CEO of the Corporation Sandokan Debebe signed the ‘Industry-University Partnership Memorandum of Understanding’ with the President of AAU Prof Tassew Woldehanna on Tuesday.
Sandoka said the agreement – that aims to translate the sharing of academic knowledge and research initiatives – would bring many benefits to the corporation, AAU, and industry.
The Memorandum would pave a way for AAU students to get internship opportunities in factories inside industrial parks.
It would also create working opportunities for the AAU to provide consultancy services to the Corporation in complex technical and scientific fields of common interest.
The Corporation, a public enterprise established in 2014, manages at least 13 industrial parks nationwide. The parks have so far attracted more than 100 investors, employing over 85,000 workers.
