Ethiopia Records 1,284 New Covid Cases

ADDIS ABABA – Ethiopia has registered 1,283 new COVID-19 infections on Tuesday, taking the confirmed cases tally to 459,486.

The ministry of health says 22 more virus-related fatalities have been reported in the past twenty-four hours, bringing the death toll to 7,184.

In the same period, as many as 799 patients have also recuperated from the acute respiratory disease.

The ministry puts the national recovery total at 376,152.

The country now has 76,148 active cases, of whom 410 are under severe health conditions.

Amid the national push for vaccination, the East African country has so far administered a total of 10,965,479 COVID-19 vaccine doses, according to the ministry.
