Ethiopia Reports 125 More Covid Cases, 6 Deaths

ADDIS ABABA – Ethiopia has registered 125 fresh cases of the novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) on Sunday, taking the infections tally to 372, 215.

More than 3,600 people have been tested in the last twenty-four hours to confirm the new positive cases, says the ministry of health in its daily report.

The country has also reported six more Coronavirus-induced deatCurrentl9 recoveries in the same period, pushing the death toll to 6, 800 and recoveries tally to 349, 626.

There are now 209 severely sick Covid-19 patients receiving medical treatments, claims the report that puts the confirmed active cases tally at 15, 787.

Health officials are currently conducting a nationwide vaccination campaign as part of the the response to stop the spread of the pandemic.

On Sunday, the number of doses of Covid vaccine provided to the public has exceeded a 10 million mark.

This is after the country offered 65, 523 doses in the last twenty-four hours, data from ministry shows.

The East African nation, which started the national vaccine drive last March, has fully immunised more than 8.6 million people against the the virus.
