Djibouti Appoints New Ambassador to Ethiopia

ADDIS ABABA – The neighboring nation Djibouti has appointed Abdi Mahmoud Ibe as a new ambassador to Ethiopia

The ambassador presented a copy of his credentials to Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia on Wednesday.

Faisal Alie, Director General of Protocol Affairs at the ministry, commended the relationship between the two countries that stood on a solid foundation.



He also thanked Djibouti for its confidence in Ethiopia and unconditional support, calling on the two countries to further cement their relations by working together for peace and security.

Mr. Faisal assured the ambassador that the government of Ethiopia would provide him all the necessary support during his stay in Ethiopia.

Ambassador Abdi Mohamud, for his part, appreciated the fraternal and historical ties that exist between the two countries.

The ambassador also expressed his confidence to boost the relationships between Ethiopia and Djibouti during his tenure in Ethiopia.
