Prime Minister Abiy In Rwanda For Two-day Working Visit

ADDIS ABABA – Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed is in Rwanda for a two-day working visit, his office said.

Abiy Ahmed and his delegation arrived in Kigali hours after he made a similar visit to Uganda where he held talks with President Yoweri Museveni on bilateral ties and on regional issues.



In Kigali, the prime minister has also held talks with President Paul Kagame.

“”We held good discussions on bilateral and regional issues of mutual significance,” said Abiy, who appreciated President Kagame for warm welcome accorded to him and his delegation.

Binalf Andualem, Prosperity Party Office Head, and Redwan Hussain, the State Minister for Foreign Affairs, are in Kigali accompanying the Prime Minister.

PM Abiy was last in Rwanda during the 25th commemoration against the Genocide against the Tutsi.

Rwanda and Ethiopia previously vowed to deepen ties in key sectors such as Defence, Air Services, Capacity building among others.
