Defense Military Receives 200,000 Covid-19 Vaccines from China
ADDIS ABABA – Federal Defense Force of Ethiopia on Thursday said it has received 200, 000 doses of SinoVac Covid-19 vaccines from its Chinese counterpart.
This is the second time the Defense Ministry of China made vaccine support to the Ethiopian side with 100, 000 vaccines previously delivered to Addis Ababa on May 13.
“The newly received SinoVac doses will help us vaccinate 150,000 people fully,” said Col. Alemu Tike (Dr.), representative of disease prevention office director of the army, in a statement.
The Defense ministry plans to offer the vaccine to soldiers in northern front line in collaboration with Ethiopian Pharmaceutical Supply Agency.
