Ethiopian Airlines Resumes Flight To Asmara

ADDIS ABABA – The Ethiopian Airlines said on Wednesday it has resumed flight to the capital of Eritrea, Asmara.

“We are pleased to announce the resumption of our flight to Asmara effective 23 June, 2021,” the Airlines said in a brief statement posted on its official Facebook page.

The statement does not state for how long flights to Asmera has been intrupted.

The airlines made the first flight in 20 years on July 18, 2018 after the two countries, cementing a reconciliation between the two nation after two decades of hostility.

About 315 passengers were on board in the historic flight, that begun a successful rapprochement process.
