Ethio Telecom, Huawei Launch 4G LTE in East Ethiopia

ADDIS ABABA –  Ethio Telecom and Huawei continue their partnership by launching the 4G LTE advanced mobile service in Ethiopia’s Somali Region.

The project is accomplished within one month and the two companies partnered to finish the installation and commissioning for 56 LTE sites, despite the distance of some sites from the main warehouse in Addis Ababa.

On the launch event Ethio Telecom’s CEO Firehiwot Tamiru said :We worked together with our strategic partner Huawei and finished the difficult task to deploy the 4G LTE advanced” in the Eastern part of the country.r

Huawei also supported Ethio Telecom to provide the 4G LTE Service in the North-Western part of Ethiopia, which was launched last week.
