COVID-19: Ethiopia Records 980 More Infections, 3 Deaths
ADDIS ABABA – Ethiopia has recorded 980 additional coronavirus infections on Thursday, bringing the confirmed cases tally in the country to nearly 163, 000.
About 5, 557 medical tests have been conducted in the day to identify the latest positive cases coronavirus, according to Ministry of Health’s daily covid report.
The report also claims at least 4 people have died due to coronavirus complications during the period, bringing the confirmed death toll to 2, 394.
Currently, 392 patients are in hospital beds after they become severely ill, shows the report. They are among 23, 355 confirmed active cases in Ethiopia.
Within the 24-hours period, a total of 760 patients have recuperated from the respiratory disease, pushing the recovery tally to over 137, 200.
The East African Nation identified its first coronavirus case on March 13, 2020. Since then, it has confirmed a total of 162, 954 infections after conducting nearly 2.16mln tests.
