ADDIS ABEBA – Bad weather condition has forced Ethiopian Airlines to cancel its flights to northern Ethiopia, the airlines said.
In a statement issued late Saturday, the airlines said flights to three major cities in northern Ethiopia have been canceled indefinitely.
“We would like to announce to our esteemed customers that as always your safety is our priority and to this effect, we have canceled all our flights to Bahir Dar, Lalibela, and Gondar due to bad weather which is not safe for flights,” it said.
The airline has apologized to its customers for the inconvenience.
“We will keep updating the status of the flights through our Global Contact Center as soon as we get approval from the Ethiopian Meteorology Agency,” Ethiopian Airlines Group added.
