COVID-19: Ethiopia Reports 2 Deaths, 463 New Cases
ADDIS ABEBA – Ethiopia has recorded 463 more COVID-19 cases on Wednesday as the total number of confirmed cases nears 130, 000.
The new positive cases have been identified after the country conducted nearly 5000 COVID-19 medical tests on the day, ministry of health said.
In its daily Covid report, the ministry has also confirmed the death of two COVID patients, taking the death to 2, 006.
At least 210 patients are currently in hospital after becoming seriously ill, according to health officials. They among the 12, 880 confirmed active cases in the country.
On the same day, at least 305 patients have recovered from the deadly respiratory illness caused by coronavirus.
To date, Ethiopia has conducted more than 1.86mln tests and confirmed 129, 455 covid cases. At least 114, 567 of these patients have recovered.
