COVID-19: Ethiopia Confirms 351 More Cases, 6 Deaths

ADDIS ABEBA – Ethiopia has registered at least 351 coronavirus infections on Wednesday, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 120, 989, according to ministry of health.

In its daily covid report, the ministry said more than 5000 people have been tested for the virus to identify the new positive case.

The report also said additional 6 covid-related deaths were also registered on the day, pushing the death toll to 1, 870.

The East African nation currently has 13, 293 confirmed active cases of coronavirus. Of these, more than 250 patients are hospitalized after getting critically ill, according to health officials.

More than 1000 patients have also recovered from the deadly respiratory disease, taking the total number of recoveries to 105, 824.

To date, Ethiopia has tested nearly 1.76 million people for coronavirus – one of the highest in Africa.
