ADDIS ABEBA – Ethiopia has reported nearly 400 new cases on Monday, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the country to more than 120, 000.
The East African Nation identified its first case of covid, a deadly disease caused by coronavirus, on March 13, 2020.
Since then, health officials have reported 120, 348 cases after conducting nearly 1.75mln tests.
Of the total confirmed cases, 103, 681 patients have already recovered, according to ministry of health’s covid report on Monday.
Currently, there are close to 15, 000 confirmed active cases in the country.
The ministry also reported the death of 8 more people due to the respiratory illness on the day. The figure has pushed the number of people who have lost their lives due to the virus toll to 1, 861.
