Ministry Reports 388 New Coronavirus Infections, 10 Deaths

ADDIS ABEBA – Ethiopia’s ministry of health the country has recorded 388 new infections of Coronavirus on Tuesday.

Over 4000 people have been conducted for the virus over the past twenty-four hours to identify the new positive cases.

The ministry said, in its daily Covid-19 report, 10 more people have passed away due to the respiratory disease, pushing the death toll to 1, 661.

Currently, there are over 38, 910 confirmed active case in Ethiopia. Of these, 334 patients are severely ill, according to the ministry.

Over the past twenty-four hours, at least 179 patients have recuperated over pas 24-hours, bringing the number of recoveries to 66, 000.

The East African nation has tested more than 1.6mln people since authorities confirmed country’s first coronavirus case on March 13, and identified 106, 591 infections.
