ADDIS ABABA – Ethiopia has recorded 1, 368 new coronavirus infections over the past 24 hours, the ministry of health reported on Saturday.
The ministry, in its daily report, said the country identified the new patients after it has tested up to 19, 776 people during the period.
Health officials also said the total coronavirus deaths in the country had risen by 25 in the past 24 hours to 662.
The country has now 23, 889 active cases while the number of people in intensive care units is 251.
The ministry also said 567 patients recovered from the disease, taking the total number of recoveries so far to 14, 480.
The East African nation has so far tested 736, 904 people, and confirmed 39,033 cases including more than 660 deaths.
