ADDIS ABEBA – Seven people including four police officials have been killed in Amhara regional state after a brawl between two families turned into a deadly shooting incident.
The incident occurred in Koreb Kebele which is located 54km far from Masha Town of Mekdela Wereda.
It started on Tuesday afternoon a disagreement between two families that ended up with one family member gunned down, according to the communication office of the Woreda.
The disagreement escalated when the police arrived in the scene to contain the situation.
“Angered by the loss of their brothers, brothers of the victim started firing and turned the situation more deadly,” said Tefera Mola, administrator of Mekdela Woreda.
Seven people including four police officials have died, disclosed Tefera adding Police would make the outcome of their investigation soon.
