Ten Killed in Deadly Car Crash in Northern Ethiopia

ADDIS ABEBA – At least ten people were killed and five others seriously injured in a car accident in in Amhara regional state of Ethiopia.

The accident occurred on Saturday morning in Awi zone, near Zengena Lake, reported Amhara Mass Media Agency.

At least people died when a public transport bus coming from Bahir Dar direction collided with a minibus heading from Tilili to Enjjibara, says the report.

Nine commuters together with the driver of the mini bus died instantly while the remining five sustained serious injuries are now getting medical service in Enjjibara Hospital.

The travelers and river of the public survived the car crush, police said. The report says the cause of the accident is currently under investgation.
