ADDIS ABABA – Ethiopia’s Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has held talks with the head of Libyan High Council of State Khalid al-Mishri and his delegation today.
The two hold their discussion at the prime minister office in Addis Abeba, where Khalid al-Mishri requested Ethiopia’s support in ongoing attempts to stabilize Libya.
In a statement issued after the meeting, the prime minister office said Abiy shared his concerns on the state of affairs in Libya.
He expressed Ethiopia’s readiness to support through regional and international organizations, according to the statement.
Abiy also encouraged Libyans “to be strong and unified in working for their country’s peace”, the statement added.
Al-Mishri took the opportunity to congratulate Abiy on his Nobel Peace Prize, expressed admiration on achievements.
