Ethiopia Names Provisional Squad for 2026 World Cup Qualifiers
Ethiopian head Coach Gebremedhin Haile has revealed his 26-player provisional squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
The Walias will resume their underwhelming qualifying campaign next month against Guinea-Bissau and Djibouti.
The team is already playing catch-up with Group A leaders after a goalless draw vs Sierra Leone and a 0-3 defeat to Burkina Faso.
Coach Gebremedhin included six strikers in his provisional squad to prepare for matchday three and four of the world cup qualifier.
The team, without a goal so far, will make a daunting trip to Bissau to take on Guinea-Bissau on June 6 before facing Djibouti away three days later.
