Ethiopian Bags two STAT Trade Times Cargo Excellence Awards

ADDIS ABABA – Ethiopian Airlines won the STAT Trade Times Cargo Excellence Awards in the “African Cargo Airline of the Year” and “Air Cargo Brand of the Year in Africa” categories.

The airline said it received the awards during the Air Cargo Africa 2023 event held in Johannesburg, South Africa this week.

The STAT Times Award is an international award for excellence in air cargo and provides recognition for outstanding achievements in the aviation industry across the world.

Ethiopian expressed its gratitude to those who voted for its Ethiopian Cargo & Logistics Services to win the coveted prize.

Ethiopian Cargo & Logistics Services is one of the major business units of the Ethiopian Airlines Group.

Globally, Ethiopian Cargo and Logistics Services covers more than 130 international destinations with both belly hold capacity and 68 dedicated freighter services.

The cargo business unit helped the airlines to stage a major rebound from a pandemic slump, racking in 5 billion US dollars in annual revenue in the 2021/22 Ethiopian fiscal year.
