Two more patients have also passed away due to the disease caused by a coronavirus, bringing to the nation’s Covid death toll to 7,544.

However, the severe cases total remains the same as the previous day. At least 51 severely sick Covid patients are getting treatments in various hospitals.

These patients are among 17,307 confirmed active cases in the country, according to the latest update.

Despite the relative drop in new infections, health officials have continued to urge the public to be vigilant about the disease, and get the Covid-19 vaccine shots to keep themselves and their loved ones safe.

Ethiopia has administered close to 52.2 million doses of the Covid vaccine, so far.  Over 42.7 million Ethiopians have been fully vaccinated against the virus since the immunization push started in March 2021.
