ADDIS ABABA – Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has arrived in Djibouti for an official work visit to the neighboring nation on Friday, according to the Ethiopian embassy in Djibouti.
President Ismail Omar Guelleh accorded the Prime Minister a warm welcome upon his arrival in Djibouti on Friday morning.
The Prime Minister traveled to Djibouti after attending the inauguration ceremony of the newly elected president of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, in Mogadishu.
Prime Minister Abiy and President Guelleh are expected to discuss bilateral and regional issues of mutual concern, officials said.
The two leaders last held bilateral discussion in March Addis Ababa where they discussed ways to further strengthen the economic relations between Ethiopia and Djibouti.
