Ethiopia Records 8 More Covid Infections, 8 Recoveries
ADDIS ABABA – Ethiopia has recorded 8 more novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) cases and zero related deaths on Monday.
In its update, the Ministry of health the confirmed total cases 470, 442 after adding 8 new infections in the past twenty-four hours.
Eight patients have also recuperated from the acute respiratory disease in the reported period, taking the recovery tally to 454, 975.
The Ministry has also reported zero Covid-19 related fatalities as the death toll remains at 7, 510.
The nation last recorded a Coronavirus induced fatality on Wednesday, April 20, 2022.
Fifteen severely sick Covid-19 patients are still getting medical treatment in hospital, says the report that puts the confirmed active cases count at 7,955.
The vaccination pace is at a standstill with health officials’ data showing remains unchanged on the day.
Ethiopia has administered over 29.41 doses of the vaccine so far. More than 24.5 million people are also fully vaccinated against the virus. The Ministry of health offered the first Covid-19 vaccine in Ethiopia on March 13, 2021.
