EidHomeComing: Ethiopian Airlines Offers 20% Discount on Fares

ADDIS ABABA – Ethiopian Airlines on Thursday announced special discounts on fares for Eid Homecoming travelers.

In a brief message today, the airlines invited Ethiopians planning to come for the holiday to “enjoy a 20% Eid homecoming discount”.

The discount includes both business and economy class fares, said the national flag carrier.

The offer is valid for bookings made until April 21 for travel from April 25 to May 15, 2022, it added.

About 100, 000 Ethiopians living abroad and friends of the country are expected to come to the East Africn nation as part of the ‘Eid al-Fitr to Eid al-Adha GreatHomeComing Initiative,’ according to foreign ministry officials.

The initiative, besides enhancing bilateral relations with the Middle East Countries, aims to promote Ethiopia’s place in Islamic history to the world, it said.

This is the second homecoming event that the country will be hosting in this Ethiopian calendar.

Last December, the Great Ethiopian Homecoming witnessed many Ethiopians in diaspora Festivals come to celebrate Christmas and Epiphany in their country.
