Ethiopia Sees Zero Covid-19 Deaths for three Days in A row

ADDIS ABABA – Ethiopia has recorded zero Covid-19 death for the third day in a row, according to ministry of health report.



In its daily report on Monday evening, the ministry says the Covid-19 death total remains the same at 7,476.

The country has also registered only 41 new cases after testing more than 4,300 people in the past twenty-four hours, the report says.

In the same period, 117 patients of the acute respiratory disease have recuperated, taking the recovery total to 420, 430.

The report also says about 66 seriously sick Covid-19 patients remain in hospital getting medical treatment.
The patients are among the more than 41, 000 confirmed active cases in the nation.



Despite a significant drop in fatality rate, health authorities are still urging the public to be vigilant and take the necessary precautions including get the vaccine shot to keep themselves safe from the disease.

In the past 24-hours, the country administered more than half a million doses of Covid-19 vaccine, taking the total of doses given to the public to 26.7 million.

More than 22 million people have also been fully immunized, reports the ministry that gave the first Covid vaccine shot in the country in March 2021.
