Ethiopian Transports 110 Million Stems of Flowers for Valentines Day
ADDIS ABABA – Ethiopian Cargo and Logistics Services has transported more than 110 million stems of flowers for Valentine’s Day to different countries, the airlines said.
The national flag carrier delivered the flowers to their destinations in the past two weeks.
“In the past two weeks, Ethiopian Cargo operated 86 flights mainly from Ethiopia, Kenya, Ecuador, Columbia, Miami (US) into Europe, transporting more than 110 million stems of flowers,” the airlines said.
Ethiopian said its state- of-the-art cargo terminal fitted with a different range of temperatures and its modern temperature controlled aircraft enable the airlines “transport and deliver flowers for Valentine’s Day as fresh as received.”
The total of stems the airlines delivered this month grew by 15 million as compared to the same valentine’s season.
Last year. Ethiopian cargo transported more than 95 million stems of flowers for Valentine’s Day season from Ethiopia and Kenya to other destinations.Ethiopian Cargo the largest cargo network operator in Africa.
