Haile to Build his 11th Resort in Wolkite Town

ADDIS ABABA – Haile Hotels and Resorts Group laid the foundation stone for a new resort in SNNP region’s Wolkote Town.



The event took place on Sunday with the owner of the company and the legendary athlete, Haile Gebrselassie, and president of SNNP Region, Ristu Yirdaw, partaking.

The hotel, the group’s eleventh, will lie 5,352sq meter of land in the Town, located 134km Southwest of Addis Ababa.

The construction of the resort would cost more than half a billion birr, said Haile, adding his company plans to finish it as soon as possible.



Owned by Haile and his wife Alem Tilahun, the group first invested in hospitality in 2010 when the lexurious 4-Star resort Haile Resort-Hawassa open for business.

Since then, it expanded by opening resorts at other SIX resorts and one hotel in different cities acroas Ethiopia have geographical, historical, and cultural values.

The company which aspire to be the benchmark indigenous hotel chain developer and operator in East Africa by 2025, has also ongoing similar projects under construction in Addis Ababa, Wolayta Sodo, Debre Birhan and Konso.
