Postponed 2021 Ethiopian Great Run Set for Jan 23

ADDIS ABABA – Organisers of the 2021 TotalEnergies Great Ethiopian Run International 10km have set a new date of Sunday 23rd January 2022 for staging the race.

General Manager of Great Ethiopian Run Dagmawit Amare has expressed her delight at the decision about the new date for the annual event, originally scheduled for Nov 14, 2021.

“It feels right – as well as a great honour – for us to be staging our annual 10km race to coincide with the homecoming of many Ethiopians,” Dagmawit said on Friday.

“This race has always been a celebration of us coming together as a nation, and there is no better time for us to do this than now,” she added.

The Organisers have also announced that some additional race places will be arranged for the diaspora community who will be travelling to Ethiopia to celebrate Ethiopian Christmas in early January 2022.
