African Foreign Ministers Arriving in Addis Ababa to attend AU Executive Council Meeting

ADDIS ABABA – The Foreign Ministers of Niger, Burundi, Sierra Leone, and Algeria have arrived in Addis Ababa on Tuesday evening to participate in the 39th Ordinary Session of the African Union Executive Council.

State Minister of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Birtukan Ayano accorded warm welcome to the ministers at Bole International Airport.

Earlier that day, the Foreign Minister of Liberia has also arrived in Ethiopia’s capital.



The 39th Ordinary Session of the Executive Council of the African Union will be held on 14-15 October 2921.

The session will be held under theme “Arts, Culture and Heritage: Levers for Building the Africa We Want”.

The 39th Ordinary Session of the Executive Council will be opened in the presence of the leaders and officials of the AU Commission.

The executive council will consider the draft agenda, decisions and declarations with appropriate recommendations for consideration by the Heads of State and Government during their 3rd Mid-Year Coordination Meeting between the African Union, the Regional Economic Communities and Regional Mechanisms.
