Eight Dead after Head-on Crash in West Showa Zone
ADDIS ABABA – Eight people died after a head-on traffic collision in the West Shoa zone of Oromia region on Saturday night.
The crash involving a Minibus and Midibus, commonly known as Kitikit Isusu, occurred in a place called Lege Hulko of Ejersa Lefo district.
Fikadu Mulugeta, head of a traffic police management office of the district, told ENA that the public Midi-bus travelling from Ambo to Addis Ababa crashed head-on with the Minibus on Saturday night .
Eight passengers onboard in the minibus and its driver pronounced dead at the scene of the crash as a result of injuries sustained in the collision.
Six people were also injured and transported to St. Pawlos Hospital in Addis Ababa for treatment, according to the Police.
The crash remains under investigation by the police.
