South Sudan President Arrives In Ethiopia For Working Visit

ADDIS ABABA – South Sudan President Salva Kiir Mayardit arrived in Ethiopia’s capital, Addis Ababa, today for a one-day working visit.

Upon arrival at Bole International Airport, President Kiir and his presidential entourage was received by Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed.

“I warmly welcome President Salva Kiir and his delegation for an official working visit to Ethiopia,” Abiy said.



Later today, Abiy and Kiir will discuss on issues of mutual concern, says ministry of foreign affairs in a brief statement.

The President is accompanied by the Minister of Presidential Affairs Dr Barnaba Marial Benjamin, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Khamisa Wani, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, Dr Martin Elia Lomoro and the Governor of Jonglei State, Denay Jock Chagor.
