Ethiopia Records 2,054 More COVID-19 cases, 25 deaths
ADDIS ABABA- Ethiopia’s health Ministry said the country has registered 2,054 new Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases on Tuesday, bringing the nationwide tally to 219, 381.
The country identified the new positive cases after conducting about 8, 190 Coronavirus tests.
The ministry said 25 new deaths were reported across the country during the same period, bringing the national death toll to 3,025.
In its Covid-19 report Tuesday, the ministry also said at least 850 patients are currently in intensive care units after they become severely ill.
These patients are among the 52, 398 confirmed active cases in the country.
On the day, the East African country reported 934 more recoveries, taking the national count to 163,956.
Africa’s second-most populous nation has so far reported the highest number of COVID-19 cases in the East African region, and is the fourth most affected country in the continent.
