Nation Launches Investment Promotion Campaign
ADDIS ABEBA – Ethiopia has launched on Monday a global investment promotion campaign under the theme Rising Ethiopia.
The launching event was held virtually in the presence of more than 100 Ethiopian ambassadors, diplomats and stakeholders.
Present at the launching ceremony were also Simegn Wubie, State Minister of Mines and Petroleum, and Lelise Neme, Commissioner of the Ethiopian Investment Commission.
Simegn on the occasion underscored the need to attract potential investors through efficiently promoting Ethiopia’s abundant mineral resources.
Commissioner Lelise, for her part, said Ethiopia is open for investors who want to invest in Government’s priority areas such as agriculture, mining, tourism, information technology and infrastructure.
She said the Government is undertaking massive economic and legal reforms to encourage investors to invest in priority areas and to create fertile ground for investment.
The Commissioner also called on Diaspora Ethiopians to join hands with Ethiopian embassies in promoting Ethiopia’s conducive investment opportunities to attract globally known companies to Ethiopia.
